When landscape designer and architect Frederick Law Olmsted (he designed New York City’s Central Park) visited Buffalo in the late 1870s to determine whether he would design our parks system (he did), he declared Buffalo to be “the best planned city, as to its streets, public places and grounds, in the United States, if not the world.”

This 12-minute video by filmmaker John Paget uses stunning imagery and interviews with Buffalo’s civic leaders to confirm Olmsted’s opinion.
